The palace was built by Maharaja Nripendra Narayan in the year 1887. The palace is spread over 51,309 sq ft of area and is popular among people for its elegance and historical greatness.

Madan Mohan Temple

Situated in the heart of Coochbehar, Madan Mohan Temple is a popular tourist destination built by Maharaja Nripendra Narayan during 1885-1887. The main deities of the temple include Lord Krishna also known as Madan Mohan along with deities of Ma Kali, Ma Tara, and Ma Bhabani. The temple is famous for Rash Mela which is hosted on the occasion of the Rath Yatra Festival and is one of the most celebrated occasions in West Bengal.

Located at a distance of 10km from the city of Coochbehar, Baneswar Shiva Temple is the home to the Shivalinga situated at a depth of 10ft from the ground it also features a statue of Arthanarishwar with one half representing Lord Shiva and the other half as Goddess Parvati. Rajmata Temple

Rajmata Temple is one of the oldest temple of Coochbehar district that was built by Maharani Nistarini Devi in the year 1772 AD. The temple includes deities of Stayabhama Radharman and Goddess Tara Kali who are worshiped three times a day followed by aarti. The temple also hosts Rotani Kali Puja on the day of Dol Purnima that is performed at night.
